With protection, one of the main issues that always comes up is comfort. People don’t want to wear a pair of uncomfortable knee pads, or big bulky body armour.

Our approach was to create something that was lightweight, thin and breathable, but totally uncompromising on protection.

It's soft and flexible when in its natural state but stiffens dynamically on impact to dissipate significantly more energy than conventional static materials.
This property provides a breakthrough for applications where flexibility and movement are paramount but high levels of energy control are a must.
DURABILITY

We’ve combined tough materials with the adaptive stretch of Rheon™ pads to ensure they stay strong and protective, even in the roughest terrain.

How does RHEON™ compare to its competitors?

RHEON™ Armour uses a super soft polymer, providing superior comfort.

Unlike other materials used in this space, RHEON™demonstrates significantstrain-rate
sensitivity. This dynamic property means inserts can be extremely soft and flexible in their natural state but stiffen up and absorb high levels of energy during an impact.

COMPLEX GEOMETRY

RHEON™ technology works through a combination of the strain-rate sensitive polymer and patented functional geometries, creating a metamaterial.

These functional geometries allow the parts to be low profile, lightweight and extremely breathable all without compromising on the level of protection.

SUSTAINABILITY

Rheon Labs prioritise sustainability through innovative material science and the process of manufacture as part of a circular economy.

Any post-industrial waste or leftover material is repurposed and utilised in the next production cycle, aiming to minimise landfill waste.
